Known as “The Garden Spot of Colorado,” Berthoud is a lovely, prosperous, even idyllic, middle sized community situated between Loveland and Longmont on the Front Range of Colorado.

Education - Berthoud’s young residents are educated at two elementary schools, Turner Middle School and Berthoud High School. The Northern Colorado institutes of higher learning – Aims Community College, Rocky Mountain Community College, The University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, and The University of Colorado are all nearby.

Recreation - There are several parks within Berthoud and numerous large recreation centers including Carter Lake, Boyd Lake and Pinewood and Flatiron resevoirs are all nearby. Outdoor lovers of every stripe will have no trouble finding a place to pursue their favorite activity, whether it be rock climbing, fishing, boating, hiking or camping. Football, baseball/softball, tennis and golf are popular in Berthoud as well. It’s a hop-skip-and a jump to some of best skiing in the world from Berthoud and Rocky Mountain National Park is less than an hour away.
Health Care - McKee Medical Center serves the basic health care needs of Berthoud. Longmont and Loveland both have excellent hospitals within minutes. Poudre Valley hospital in Ft. Collins and Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley are also nearby and offers top regional medical care.
Employment - Berthoud is unique in that it is such a modern, progressive and growing city, yet it continues to have a strong agricultural base to its economy, particularly the sugar beet industry. There are dozens of small businesses in Berthoud and there is overlap with the economies of Longmont and Loveland.
